Do you have someone that's a skilled seamstress that you can call on if you get stuck? Luckily I do or else I probably would have given up months ago.Four Flightshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10000752220758742399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1911776287527151601.post-15561100963938267932010-05-02T23:24:27.108-07:002010-05-02T23:24:27.108-07:00Thanks! Anyhow, the very first thing I made were straight and simple line sewing kitchen valances. I then had my MIL walk me through sewing a pair of kimono pajamas for each of the kids using a pattern. That one pattern taught me a lot, and now I feel pretty competent overall in the sewing department.Four Flightshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10000752220758742399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1911776287527151601.post-38643839161180811222010-04-28T21:35:20.577-07:002010-04-28T21:35:20.577-07:00You've only been sewing for 6 months??? Then you sew. The webbing will keep it from fraying, although what would you do if you wanted that frayed look I wonder? Heather, any thoughts on that?Four Flightshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10000752220758742399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1911776287527151601.post-22745736525118552572010-04-28T16:56:57.393-07:002010-04-28T16:56:57.393-07:00Hey girl, those are some cute applique's. I'm curious, do you have to sew the sides of the fabric down before you put them on the shirt? I would imagine they fray if they aren't tucked under. I only ask because if the heavens open up and I find myself with extra time on my hands, I might try this. :)On the Bright Sidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15304918765515292853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1911776287527151601.post-26221294654223679262010-04-28T15:19:09.873-07:002010-04-28T15:19:09.873-07:001. you are funny.
