I must be crazy. I signed up for Kendi's 30x30 challenge, where I choose 30 items from my closet to mix and match over 30 days. I can only wear these 30 items and I can't shop. For 30 days. Here's what I chose:
In the next 30 days I will of course be going to work everyday, and I will be traveling to New York twice for market. At least half of the items I chose are of the label I work for. It would be beyond disrespectful to show up to market wearing another label. This of course limited my options to mix it up much, but it's a good thing I love the brand. This is also the first time I actually reveal the brand I work for, which makes me a little nervous (I'm not sure how they would react to this). I hope I represent it well over the next 30 days, or else I might be on the chopping block.
I won't bore you with daily outfit posts, but will most likely just do a wrap up at the end of each week. The point of this challenge is to exercise my styling muscles and get creative with what I've got in my closet. Also, to come to appreciate what I've got. So that's it.
Happy Sunday everyone!
i admire your strength - don't know that i could narrow it down to 30 items and that I could plan that far in advance! but actually quite inspiring.....hmmm

ReplyDeleteI'm remixing with the pink Tucker for Target blouse but in a dress. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Good luck!
ReplyDeletebest of luck! you make me realize i don't have enough jeans i really love. we must remedy this...after the 30 day challenge. :D
ReplyDeletegood luck! can't wait to see what you'll do.
How fun! I did something similar starting in January, except I made myself wear every item of clothing once until I ran out. It was definitely a challenge trying to wear a summer skirt in freezing January!

ReplyDeleteSome day I'm going to dress like a big girl, and not a kid. And when I do I'm hiring you. You probably feel limited by those 30 pieces, but you are so creative, you'll make it work!
ReplyDeleteLove your choices- I can totally tell you're a shoe girl. :) Found you through the #30x30 hashtag and can't wait to see what you come up with!

I love the selections you've got! I had such a hard time finding Tucker for Target pieces, I'm jealous of all the great ones you've got! Happy remixing!
ReplyDeleteOMG, so great! when does it start?? what a great challenge ...do you get to add accessories?? it makes me wonder if i could pull it off!!!
ReplyDeleteyou are going to look FABULOUS, as usual!!!
:).
Impressive - now I think you are going to need a coat for NY too though! I don't want you freezing. I must say your bold choice of the same number of shoes and tops is intriguing. I see where your priorities are and I like it! So accessories don't count as part of the 30 right?
ReplyDeleteHooray! So excited you're doing this... I can't wait to see what you come up with!
ReplyDeletesuper cute choices! do you work for james perse!?
ReplyDeleteLove the picks! And I love that we have the same dress! We should be twinsies one day!
