I keep entering every Silhouette giveaway I can but I haven't had any luck. So until someone gets me one for Christmas or my birthday (hint-hint), I'll share with you the method I use to get silhouette-like results on things like canvas tote bags, toss pillows, and even artwork for my daughter's room. It's the tried and true freezer paper method that I'm sure many of you have already heard of, but I know I have a few friends out there that have asked to see a tutorial on this method.
If you would like to see the rest of this tutorial, please see it at my new blog For the Love Of. You can click here to find the full tutorial. Thank you!
Such a cute pillow - I'm especially loving the reindeer one!
ReplyDeleteI had never seen this done so I'm glad you posted this! I think I just came up with a fun project idea using this method. Thanks Andrea!
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic! Did you make the pillows too or did you buy those? if you bought them, where and if you tol dus, sorry I missed that...I was too ga ga over the painting you did onthe pillows! hugs
ReplyDeleteThose are too cute and too fun! Thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteJust a suggestion, for those of your readers that own a cuttlebug or Cricut cutting machine, the exacto knife becomes a thing of the past. Press your freezer paper on your cutting mat, set to a light pressure, pick your font and type your words/pictures in and cut away! (it would almost be worth the expense if you love to stencil things regularly!)
ReplyDeleteI share your pain. I want a Silhouette too!! I've been entering every giveaway for the past year or so. I'll tell you what. If I win, you can come play at my house, if you promise I can come play at your house if you win. ;]
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love this! I hope it's as easier as it looks!
ReplyDeleteToo cute!!!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing!- I'm still doing things the "old-fashioned" way too- but I have been hinting also!
Blessings!
Jill
