Neon, iCozy, Alissa & Ordinary Coats

Hi friends, and happy Thursday! I am still busy working away at all things Neon (you can get glimpses of what I've been working on if you follow me on Instragram user name fourflights), so in the mean time I wanted to just check in and say hi, as well as introduce you to my friend Alissa from Rags to Stitches.  She just created and launched a new line of iCozys for your iPad.  If I had an iPad you'd bet I'd own one of these cuties.  Alissa recently did a photo shoot to launch the new line and we wanted to share some photos with you.  Stay tuned for a giveaway soon!   Oh, and one last quick thing, you know how much I love my Grandma Tita and how much she meant to me right?  Well I wrote a little piece about a coat of hers that was passed down to me.  An ordinary coat, but with extraordinary meaning to me.  Please go on over to Outside Voice and say hi :)

Week 2 Looks Promising

{dress and sweater - James Perse; purse - Louis Vuitton; necklace - Forever 21; shoes - c/o Cents of Style}
I'm guest posting, in this outfit, over at my friend Alissa's blog Rags to Stitches today.  Alissa is one of the most supportive gals out there, so I was thrilled when she asked (no one ever really asks my to guest blog for some reason).  I'm sharing a bit about how this outfit in particular is the perfect example of lifestyle dressing, and I share a fun quiz I found over the weekend while wasting time on the internet.  Please go check it out and say hi...I'll feel very lonely without you guys ;)

And I just wanted to make sure to post these pictures because look!  I'm not standing in the parking lot of my husband's office building.  2012 Goal Setting and Meeting in the house baby.  In addition to planning ahead and not standing in parking lots, I have also been on time to Pop Physique everyday in the new year (I'm always 10 minutes late), and I'm doing better about being more active in the blogging community, which reminds me, I've been responding to your comments in the comments section, and I left a few questions for some of you on yesterday's post...I'm still confused about the whole oil thing.  Have a great day ladies, and gents - Gerry :)

Party Planning With Alissa from Rags to Stitches

Hi, my name is Alissa and I blog over at Rags to Stitches. I'm so excited to be posting over here at Four Flights of Fancy. Thanks for having me Andrea!! I love meeting new people so I hope you'll pop by my blog, twitter, facebook and say hello.

I love summertime. Not just because it's sunny and warm, after all I do live in Southern California, but because June is my daughter's birthday month. I'm a party planner by nature. My husband would roll his eyes if he heard me say that, and then add the word "obsessive" in there somewhere. hehe I can't help it. I think it's the crafty side of me that goes crazy coming up with themes and trying to see how much of the party I can hand make. Last year we threw an Elmo party for my daughter and a Johnny Cupcakes party for my son and everything from the cupcakes, cakes, cake pops, tissue paper pom poms and centerpieces were all handmade.

June is my favorite time to throw a party because we have a fabulous backyard that's perfect for parents to sit and enjoy themselves while the kids run around the yard. I'm not going to lie, this year it took me a little while to come up with a theme. Since Miss K kept going back and forth between princesses and Minney Mouse, I thought it would be fun to come up with something completely different. What's more fun than pinwheels and pennants?! So I began searching for the perfect ideas for her party. Thanks to my new addiction to Pinterest I was able to find some fabulous ideas for her party.

The invites are out, the paper is cut, the pinwheels are ready to be made and I've got just under 4 weeks to throw it all together. Yay, I can't wait!! Don't forget to stop by in a couple weeks and see how it went.
